A job vacancy has arisen within the Sales department of Letshego Bank Namibia for the above-mentioned position, the details of the role are outlined below:
 
Purpose of the Job:
 
Do short-term planning, ensure compliance to policies and procedures and monitor levels of productivity and sales, provide technical assistance to sales staff and motivate direct reports to accomplish day to day goals.
 
Key Accountabilities:
 
1. Ensure that sales staff perform their duties in line with internal policies and procedures by performing regular spot-checks
2. Ensure that customers are serviced in accordance with our customer service standards
3. Liaise with Quality Assurance department to assess the quality of applications received (accuracy and completeness thereof)
4. Liaise with Call Centre department to address telephone sales
5. Assess training needs in the department and ensure alignment to personal development plans of direct reports
6. Conduct bi-annual performance reviews for all direct reports
7. Ensure sales staff are equipped with the necessary tools to perform their jobs optimally.
8. Departmental meetings to discuss overall performance and areas of improvement
9. Escalate urgent matters to supervisory level where required
10. Coordinate and monitor staff performance in line with set targets
11. Ensure suspicious and fraudulent transactions are reported
12. Identify opportunities and process improvement initiatives
13. Advice management on issues affecting the company image
 
Thinking Requirements and Working Complexity:
 
1) Ability to devise solutions relevant to a particular situation, bearing in mind the various inherent constraints that surround all of matters such as cost control, and human resource limitations
2) Ability to devise and revise sales strategies to learn adeptly from mistakes.
3) Ability to develop good working relations with management (and other levels) for cohesion in the business, but at the same time must demonstrate the authority, independence and courage to challenge the status quo when necessary.
 
Minimum Job Requirements
 
1) Grade 12 (25 points)
2) Related degree/diploma would be an added advantage
3) Related experience in customer service and sales
4) Computer literate
5) Fluent in English (speak and writing)
6) No criminal record
7) At least 1 years’ experience in banking/lending environment
