- Fergus has 20 years of leadership experience in credit risk management gained across multiple products and geographies covering unsecured loans, mortgage-backed lending, asset finance, credit card, and Microfinance lending.
- Prior to this role, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Letshego Botswana and also as the Regional Head for Eswatini and Lesotho.
- Before joining Letshego Group Fergus spent 8 years in a Senior Management position with Barclays Bank as Consumer Credit Risk Director and Head of Collections and Recoveries.
- Fergus has been involved in large portfolio acquisitions with a specific focus on Credit Risk Due Diligence work streams and risk assessments.
- Fergus sits on the Group Innovation and Change Committee, Group Management Risk Committee, and is an invitee to the Group Risk Committee. He is also an Independent Board Member of the largest open Medical Aid Scheme in Botswana.
