Introduction
The role of BA Operations Automation & Optimization is responsible for 
Contribute as part of a change management function through either identifying and or documenting requirements to improve operational processes, procedures, systems and customer service and experience. 
Directly contribute through the undertaking of tasks and activities which assist and support the Group Operations Manager / Snr Business Analyst including identifying, researching, analysing and evaluation of potential operational efficiencies through automation and or optimization including development and docuemntation of benefits, efficiencies and change impacts of the proposed business solutions across the Groups Operations. 
Identify solutions that are either systems or procedural based initiated within the business units, the organisation or as part of the regulatory requirements of the industry
Coordinate measurement of operational effectiveness and standardization of data capture of operations management reporting across the Group
Facilitate and document of operational processes (Process Maps), Procedures and working with the Operations Manager contribute to the standardization of processes and procedures across the Group.
Ensure internal controls are development, maintained and aligned to Group best practice and local regulatory frameworks.

Specification
1.Business Process Management and Improvement
Support key Group projects in developing operational processes, procedures and controls in line with project timeline and budget
Contribute to the development and implementation of operations automation and optimization initiatives ensuring business and operational objectives are aligned and achieved.
Developing strong working relationships and be a key point of contact for project and country operational teams 
Support the development and implementation of business process improvement initiatives at Group level 
Identifies opportunities to maximize efficiency through improved procedure, processes and technology
Support implementation of standard policy and procedures and communicating the same across the organization as appropriate
Investigate and Interrogate Country Operations staff and procedures with the intent to improving efficiency, productivity, reducing cost to serve, cycle times and ensure operational risk is effectively managed
Identify Manual Operational Processes and develop automated / digitized solutions to address these, with the intent to improve risk, efficiency and controls 
2.Project execution:
Support Operational requirements to ensure that Project / Continuous Improvement initiatives are completed within agreed timelines and budget.
Support Project Business Analysts in all business and operational project related tasks.
Establishes a strong working relationship with Business Leads, Project Managers, project team members and Vendors to ensure successful delivery of project objectives 
3.Risk, Governance & Compliance:
Ensure Group and or Country AML & KYC requirements are met
Ensure Internal Control Frameworks, Access Control is implemented to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and or where agreed mitigating controls are in place.
Understands and comply with all Operations policy and procedures and ensure that these adhere to the highest level of controls.
   
Requirements
1.Relevant business degree/post graduate
2. Experience and or knowledge of Banking / Microfinance Operations experience 
3.Conversant with MS Office packages such project, Visio, excel
4.Able to absorb and analyze information and assess situations
5.A good understanding of organizational structures, methods, systems, procedures, and good sense in layout and design.
6.Knowledge of Front and Back Office banking operations
7.Knowledge of general banking regulation
8.Strong process mapping and re-engineering skills
9.Business analysis and project management skills
10.Ability to communicate both written and orally with all levels of the Group including subsidiaries
11.Strong relationship-building, interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels 
12.Strongly analytical with a strong eye for detail
