A job vacancy has arisen within the Sales Department of Letshego Bank Namibia for the above-mentioned position, the details of the role are outlined below:
 
Purpose of the Job:
1. Responsible for providing operational support to the branch which includes coordinating and supervising of branch personnel and ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures.
 
Key Accountabilities:
1. Ensure that subordinates perform their duties in line with internal policies and procedures by performing regular spot-checks
2. Ensure customers are serviced in line with our customer service standards
3. Liaise with Call Centre Supervisor to assess complaints received (corrective action to be instituted)
4. Assess training needs and ensure align to development plans of subordinates
5. Conduct bi-annual performance reviews for all subordinates
6. Ensure subordinates are equipped with tools to perform their jobs optimally.
7. Escalate urgent matters to supervisory level where required
8. Coordinate and monitor staff performance daily
9. Ensure suspicious and fraudulent transactions are reported
10. Identify opportunities and process improvement initiatives
11. Prepare month end returns
12. Follow up on internal audit deficiencies by ensuring compliance to internal controls.
13. Ensure security measures are adhered to
14. Ensure branch expenses are managed within budgeted limits
15. Supervise custody of Treasury and movement from vault to strong room
16. Ensure suspense accounts are properly controlled and balanced
17. Have sound knowledge of customer service
18. Have sound knowledge of safe custodian ship of Vault and Teller procedures.

1) Ability to devise solutions relevant to a particular situation, bearing in mind the various inherent constraints that surround all of matters such as cost, risk controls and human resource limitations
2) Ability to devise and revise operational processes to learn adeptly from mistakes.
3) Ability to develop good working relations with management (and other levels) for cohesion in the business, but at the same time must demonstrate the authority, independence and courage to challenge the status quo when necessary.
 
Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
1) Grade 12 (25 points)
2) Related degree/diploma would be an added advantage
3) Related experience in operational environment would be an added advantage
4) Computer literate
5) Fluent in English (speak and writing)
6) No criminal record, submit code of conduct on appointment
7) Has at least 2 to 3 years supervisory experience banking/lending
